Bread & Butter

SOCCER  SATURDAY...

We return to the bread and butter of weekend football with a very disjointed fixture card, the premier league is disrupted due to sharing the day with F.A cup fixtures.

In the league Fulham entertain the eye catching Swansea team at Craven Cottage.  Fulham will back their chances at home boasting a strong home record of five wins from their last six home matches.  Coupled with possibly the best signing of the January transfer window Pavel Pogrebnyak things are looking positives. The visitors have earned massive praise for their style and also their results they have earned this season.  The away form has been poor but they have recently started to improve on the road.  Fulham have no fresh inury concerns but Swansea must still cope without Nathan Dyer.  I would suggest a home win in the fixture but it maybe a low scoring affair, with the small Craven Cottage pitch providing assistance for the home side to close down the visitors and test their technique.

Wigan host one of the teams with the strongest away records in the premier league West Brom.  The home side have struggled all season but the visitors are enjoying some real positive form in recent weeks.  Both teams have no major injury concerns but West Brom do have Jonas Olsson suspended.  I would suggest backing the vistors to gain a result at the DW stadium but wouldn't suggest backing outright.  Wigan have drawn a large percentage of their home matches so backing West Brom in the draw no bet market would be my choice.

In the F.A cup Everton play Sunderland in the early kick off, the home side have really turned their form around since January.  David Moyes showed his intention to prioritise the cup by resting players for the merseyside derby in midweek.  Everton boast a outstanding home record with wins over Chelsea & Man city.  Sunderland have suffered a slight dip in form recently and recently suffered a heavy defeat away at West Brom.  I can see this fixture following the historical trend of Everton winning this match, but with the early kick off trend leading to a possible low scoring match.

The late kick off is between Tottenham & Bolton, Spurs are looking to get back on the winning track after recent slips against, Arsenal, Manchester United & Everton.  Bolton have been poor on the road this season and not managing to score in 60% of their away matches this season.  I cannot see any other result than a home win in this match.  Early in the season Spurs won this match 3-0 and that could be a good guess in the correct score market again.

In the championship I have choosen Ipswich to maintain their return to form against a struggling Peterboro.  This match see's two of the leagues highest scores and should provide plenty of goals.

TIPS

Fulham to win @1.90
West Brom draw not bet @1.95
Tottenham to win to nil @2.18
Everton / Sunderland under 2.5 goals @1.75
Ipswich to win @1.82

Good Luck Punters  !!
