Saturday proved to be a very successful day for the blog & tips in the premier league, the day started well with Everton winning on our double chance tip and thankfully the three o'clock matches followed in a similar way. We now move onto Sunday in what is a busy fixture schedule for the premier league.
Sunderland V Norwich
Both of these teams find themselves far to close to the relegation area for their liking. But after yesterdays results there is now a slight points gap between the bottom three and the rest. Neither of these teams are in good form coming into this match. Sunderland are without a win in their last five and have lost four of these matches, whilst Norwich have drawn three and lost one of their last five also. Sadly for Sunderland their home form is very poor also with just one win in their last five at home. Norwich have a similar poor record away from home with three defeats and a draw in their last five away. For both of these teams goal scoring has been their main problem over the season and Norwich have failed to score in their last three away matches. My thoughts are that the draw appears to be the most likely outcome between these two and a possible a low scoring event.

ANYTIME SCORER: S. Sessegnon @3.40
Tottenham V Fulham
Tottenaham come into this match after a tough draining match in midweek in which they were lucky to progress into the next round of the Europa league. They have been the premier leagues form team in recent weeks but the loss at Anfield last week brought that recent run to an abrupt end. Fulham have seen a mild improvement in form recently but are still wildly inconsistent compared to recent seasons in the league. Spurs have won three of their last five coming into this match whilst Fulham's only defeat in their last five came at home against Manchester United. Fulham have seen a mild improvement on their away form this season but this is only through achieving more draws than last season. Spurs have been highly successful at home in recent months with four wins in their last five at the lane, but even with this great form they have only managed to keep one clean sheet in these matches. Overall I'm siding with a home victory in this one and a high chance of seeing at least a couple of goals.

Chelsea V West Ham
Few teams in the premier league have been as good on their day as Chelsea but also few teams have been as poor on other days as well. They are wildly inconsistent and not just week to week, they can be poor in the first half as at Old Trafford last week but then suddenly come to life in the second half and nearly claim a dramatic victory. They face a West Ham team that have been very poor on the road this season and their victory at Stoke two weeks ago was a complete shock. Two things Chelsea have been able to rely on in recent weeks has been their ability to score goals and also grind out victories at the bridge. West Ham have lost four of their last five away matches but on a positive note they have scored in four of their last five. I'm siding with a Chelsea victory in this match but it may well to closer than expected. Also this match should contain goals my only real concern for Chelsea is a slight European hangover.

Wigan V Newcastle
Last weekend Wigan pulled off a massive cup upset with victory at Goodison, but after yesterdays results they now desperately in need three points against a reborn Newcastle team. They now find themselves six points adrift of fourth bottom and face Man City, Tottenham and Arsenal on their run in. Newcastle really have turned a corner in the last two months, after struggling for most of the season they now find themselves pushing on towards mid table security. With just one defeat in their last five matches and reaching the next round of the Europa league confidence must be high in the north east. For Wigan there have been no home comforts for them this season with just two wins there all season. In truth Newcastle have also been poor on their travels but this form has improved recently with two victories and draw in the last five away. Probably the most consistent area in Wigan matches has been seeing goals, all of their last five matches have seen three or more goals scored. I siding with a score draw in this match, it should be a open match and much will come down to who scores the first goal. If Wigan concede first then you could well see players heads drop amidst the fear of another home defeat.
