Just a few thoughts on some of the matches for the Premier League weekend ahead, not a lot of value around this weekend and difficult to predict so early on but I shall try.
The footballing weekend kicks off early down in sunny Wales, Brian Laudrup's Swansea host West Ham. Both teams coming off wins last week will be buoyed with confidence and looking for another three points. West Ham had a terrific away record in the championship last season and found points easier to find on the road than at Upton Park at times. The elegant swans hammered a below par QPR last weekend and show no signs of second season syndrome some forecasted.
Over 2.5 goals @2.18
Everton travel to Villa Park after their win against Manchester United on Monday night, before the season started many suggested there would be dramatic improvements with Aston Villa under Paul Lambert. But sadly a opening day defeat has cast doubts over their squad once again, David Moyes Everton seem to have carried on their great form from the end of last season.
Everton Draw No Bet @1.71
Manchester United play host to Martin Jol's Fulham looking to get some points on the premier league board. You cannot see beyond a home win even against an experience Fulham team, and most would predict an avalanche of goals. But in recent history these contests have been a closer affair than would be imagined. So just out of interested maybe a flutter of under 2.5 goals may be placed just for interest.
Under 2.5 goals @2.48
Two of the opening day strugglers play each other this weekend with QPR heading down south to Norwich. If these teams carry on the trend from last week the score could be 17-15, and the market believes this will be another goals galore match. I wouldn't be so brave as Mark Hughes teams are normally far more defensively organised. I wouldn't like to right off the visitors getting their first points here and if their team does click they could offer a few surprises during the season.
Lay 0-0 half time score @3.2
What ever happens this weekend guys.... Stay Lucky !
